Frankly the new Tintin movie has reopened the motion-capture gash for me. They all look dead and soulless, and it doesn’t fit in any way shape or form. If they used stylized characters with mo-cap, that would be one thing, but trying to replicate the human experience is a very different story. And yes, Zemeckis became an ornery bastard about his work who refused to acknowledge how dead everything seemed.
