An absolute gem of a find by C. Dave this morning…it’s about a brawl that ensued when a bunch of women threw down over allegedly crappy vocals.
These ladies don’t just know karaoke, they know ka-razy.
STAMFORD, Conn.—Six young women are accused of taking karaoke a little too seriously, charged with attacking a woman at a Connecticut bar because she performed badly behind the microphone.
The victim, a 25-year-old from Port Chester, N.Y., was singing to the tune of a Spanish song Wednesday at Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe when the six women, all under the legal drinking age of 21, began heckling and shouting remarks.
Stamford police tell The Hour of Norwalk the victim shouted back at the women, telling them they could leave the bar if they didn’t like her singing. Police say that prompted the six to rush the singer, knocking her to floor, punching her and pulling her hair.
The victim’s husband, a bartender and patrons had to pull the women off the singer, who sustained a chipped tooth and numerous bruises.
The six women, 19- and 20-year-olds from Norwalk and Stamford, are due in court on Oct. 5.

STAMFORD, CT. (WPIX) – Six underage women from Connecticut have been arraigned on assault charges after they apparently beat up another woman who put on a less-than-stellar karaoke performance at a Stamford bar.
Five of the women were arraigned Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court and the other appeared in court Monday.
The girls have been identified as 20-year-old Kiana Strickland. 19-year-old Martisa Chambers, 19-year-old Danielle Swanson, 19-year-old Deja Hines, 19-year-old Michelle Rosedom and 20-year-old Chaniel McRae.
As the victim was singing a Spanish song on the night of Sept. 23, six girls were apparently heckling her and one is even accused of shouting derogatory remarks regarding her poor performance. Sources tell PIX News, that the Spanish song that prompted the brawl was “A Dios Le Pido” by Colombian singer Juanes.
The victim reportedly fired back at the girls, shouting: “if you don’t like it, you can leave.”
The six girls then allegedly proceeded to rush the stage, knock the victim to the floor, and repeatedly punch her and pull her hair.
The defendants are charged with third-degree assault and other crimes. They are due back in court later this month.
It sounds like the swift hand of justice dealt a flurry of blows to a deserving victim.
Don’t come into my favorite karaoke bar (for reference, this is it), butchering some Spain music and expecting me to like it!
Big ups to Kiana, Martisa, Danielle, Deja, Michelle and Chaniel for showing that Juanes-lover what happens when you step up to the mike and don’t get it done.
Basically, the Stamford Bobby V’s is like a mini American Idol and these six ladies are the Randy, Simon and Seacrest rolled into one.
Disagree with their judging and they will BUM RUSH THA SHOW!
For reference, if you MUST sing Juanes, this is what it is supposed to sound like.
We attempted to reach Bobby Valentine but a strange mustachioed man answered the door and issued a terse, “No comment.”
